The CAS experience definitely matched my expectations. I was excited to participate in a variety of activities that would challenge me both physically and mentally, and I wasn’t disappointed. All of the activities we did were engaging and rewarding, and I felt like I was able to learn and grow from each one. One thing that was surprising to me was just how much fun I had during the experience. I was expecting to be pushed out of my comfort zone and to work hard, but I wasn’t expecting to have such a good time doing it. I think the organizers did a great job of making the activities both challenging and entertaining, which made for a really enjoyable overall experience.
Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was able to improve my communication skills as a result of the various challenges we undertook. Certain activities required us to work in teams and communicate effectively, and I was thrilled to see just how much my communication skills developed as a result of these exercises. The feeling of accomplishment and personal growth that came with mastering these challenges was truly satisfying.
This trip was significant to me for a few reasons. It was my first time traveling on my own for the first time, which was significant to me sine this trip has prepared me for college life. Additionally, I was excited to experience a new culture and explore a new place. The city of Prague was absolutely breathtaking, and I loved the opportunity to see so many beautiful and historic landmarks. But more than that, what made this trip truly significant was the way it challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone and grow as a person. But more than just the cultural experience, this trip was also significant to me because of the service work we did.
Through CAS, we cooked a healthy nutritious meal which we later gave to the homeless afterwards. Overall, the Prague Spring trip was significant to me because it gave me a chance to grow and learn in so many different ways. I learned more about the world, about different cultures, and about myself. It was a reminder that sometimes the most significant moments in life come from stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing new experiences.
During my time in Prague, I had the opportunity to gain valuable skills and benefits from working collaboratively with others. Participating in various activities like the homeless walking tour, street art tour and workshop, and cooking for the homeless provided me with a unique opportunity to work with my peers towards a common goal. One particular activity that stands out in my mind was the task of cooking for the homeless. Although I didn’t have much experience in the kitchen, I was determined to learn and improve. Through collaborating with my peers and seeking advice from others, I was able to develop my culinary skills and contribute to the success of our project. The challenges I faced during this experience helped me to grow both personally and professionally, as I learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and perseverance.
Working collaboratively also allowed me to see the benefits of sharing ideas and perspectives with others. Through engaging in discussions and brainstorming sessions, I was able to gain a greater understanding of different viewpoints and work towards creative solutions to problems. This experience helped me to appreciate the importance of diverse perspectives and the value of working with others towards a common goal.
Overall, the CAS trip to Prague was an amazing experience for me. It helped me to expand my knowledge, learn new things, and grow as a person. I will always look back on this trip with fondness and gratitude for the impact it had on my life.
