During our CAS trip to Prague, I had the chance to step out of my comfort zone, experience a completely different culture, and grow through activities that focused on creativity, activity, and service. This trip wasn’t just fun—it also helped me see things from new perspectives and supported my personal growth in ways I didn’t expect. One of the most memorable parts was working together with my friends during group challenges.
Whether it was solving city-wide scavenger hunts, performing on the streets, or collaborating on creative projects, I realized how important it is to really listen, share ideas, and adapt to different roles. These activities helped me build confidence in leading and also taught me the value of teamwork and different viewpoints coming together. The service activities were also eye-opening. Learning about social initiatives in Prague and seeing how different communities approach service made me think more critically about my own role in creating positive change. Even small actions can have a meaningful impact, and it was inspiring to see that in a different cultural context. Exploring Prague itself was amazing.
The beautiful architecture, the rich history, and the general atmosphere made me reflect a lot on the diversity of the world. It reminded me how important it is to stay open-minded and curious when encountering new cultures. Overall, the trip made me feel more connected to my friends, more aware of the world around me, and more motivated to take initiative in both small and big ways. It was a unique experience that helped me grow not just academically, but personally too, and I know I’ll carry these lessons forward even after CAS.
